In the sphere of human thought Muhammad, Buddha, and Kant were probably the greatest revolutionaries. In the sphere of action Napoleon stands unrivalled. I do not include Christ among the world’s revolutionaries, since the movement initiated by him was soon absorbed by preChristian paganism. European Christianity seems to me to be nothing more than a feeble translation of ancient paganism in the language of Semitic theology
