ISLAMIC CIVILISATION

I would to you a Muslim's life expound,
It is the height of thought and craze profound.
Like Sun, his rise and setting both are rare,
He veers with Time and would e'er truth declare.
He is not sick of modesty like the current age,
Black art and myths his attention don't engage.
On lasting truths its foundations firmly rest,
No Plato's conceit but life replete with zest.
Like Gabriel it owns fine taste and grace,
Has warmth of Arabs and mind like Persian race.
