The tongue and the heart

The tongue and the heart
Should be in harmony;
Pious souls of tile past
Ever kept them united.

In metaphysical flights,
But he doth not cure
The disease of lack of faith.

Cried himself to repentance;
May God grant the sheikh
A desire to follow him.

Man is still enslaved
By the magic of the ancients;
Concealed in his arms still
Are idols of the past.

If I affirm my faith,
It will suffice for me;
It is kind of the mullah,
That he can vouch for me.

A heathen is a Muslim,
If he has love of God;
And if a Muslim does not,
He is a renegade
